It’s Heart Failure Awareness Week–a time to remind everyone of the importance of taking good care of your heart. This advice is especially sage for patients with existing medical conditions such as NPH.

As we age our body works harder to maintain good health and prevent medical disorders. Learn what measures you can take to prevent heart failure and maintain good health. Understanding your prescribed medications and their side effects is crucial to living a long, healthy life.

Approximately 60 percent of heart failure patients are readmitted to a hospital because they do not take their medications as prescribed. Proper patient and caregiver education can help prevent early readmission by up to 25 percent. Learn more by visiting the American Association @ http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/
